Septoplasty is one of the most common procedures performed by otolaryngologists to fix a crooked or deviated septum by targeting the structures inside your nose to restore function. 
The septum is the wall of bone and cartilage that divides your nose into two separate nostrils. A deviated septum can block one or both nostrils and significantly interfere with airflow which can cause difficulty breathing.
