SINUSITIS DIAGNOSIS

A diagnosis of sinusitis may be overlooked or delayed because symptoms can be nonspecific or common to many other conditions.  Be aware that you may have misdiagnosed sinus problems.

SINUSITIS OFTEN GOES MISDIAGNOSED AS:

It’s actually perfectly normal for sinuses to produce and drain mucus down the back of your throat. In most normal conditions, you wouldn’t even notice. It’s when sinuses develop a problem that the drainage becomes an issue.

Sinus drainage can be worsened by a number of factors, such as:

• Migraines

• Gastric Reflux

• Hay Fever
• Influenza
  
• Allergic Rhinitis

If you are like many patients, you may have been misdiagnosed with one of the above described conditions, when you actually have sinusitis.
